A blistering high-speed assault of relentless grind, The Great Destroyer is a cohesive exercise in extremity that blends hints of doom, sludge and death metal with unadulterated, old-school grindcore. The result is an album that is as memorable and infectious as it is pummeling and explosive.

Product Description. Sub Pop is thrilled to announce the signing of Duluth, MN's Low. This is their seventh album, following releases on Kranky and Vernon Yard. Their signature slow-core sound has been significantly updated such that "The Great Destroyer" can be defined as a rock record/5(47).

The band’s seventh full-length album, The Great Destroyer is fascinating in that it blends the band’s austere melodies (“On the Edge Of,” “Silver Rider”) with an aggressive guitar onslaught (“Monkey,” “Everybody’s Song”) and even melds Low’s varied styles together into a single song (“When I Go Deaf”).

Nov 12,  · You definitely hear Tweedy's presence on the new album (though in a good way). You won't hear anything Tweedy-like on The Great Destroyer (in a very good way). The Great Destroyer vinyl (from SubPop) is OK - nothing special, but certainly worth owning. The new LP - The Invisible Way - sounds awesome on vinyl.

Step 1: Identify The Record Version. Most albums have been released more than once, resulting in different release versions. For example, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon has been pressed at least times on vinyl. Some of these releases are worth hundreds of dollars. Some are worth less than $5.
